OMG ROFL Newspaper!?!?!?

You read that right, we've got a newspaper coming out today, as soon as you get to school. We printed today, using our little gnomes and their printing presses to get it to you fresh off of the presses. In other news, have you heard about those poor Chilean miners? All 33 of them are gonna be stuck down there until Christmas! It's pretty sad, I'm afraid. Don't forget about that newspaper, and have a great day.

A Movie Review

I would like to give you a review on The Blind Side. The Blind Side is a great family type movie. It's about this one boy who had got abused when he was little, his name is Micheal Orr also known as "Big Mike". This very nice family invited him to their house to stay.He was uncomfortable about doing it but wasn't gonna turn it down. RJ, the son of the family, became his best friend and Micheal got a schloarship to play football, his favorite sport. That's my movie review!

smartboards or books?

We spent a lot of money on smartboards and this brand new school but we can't have new books to study with or even take home. I think the school should have thought about having the smartboards more carefully.Yes, they are great for the classroom and they help teachers alot more, but students need books to study with so they can make better grades. They could have put more money on getting books for students instead of the smartboard. That's just my opinion on having the smartboard and not having text books.

Are you a victim of cyberbullying?

Have you ever been tormented, harassed, humiliated, or embarrassed by someone over the Internet? If so, you are a victim of cyberbullying. How this works is a victim is targeted by another person through hateful or threatening messages. Even though these actions are not taken place in person or face to face unkind messages are still hurtful and very serious. They may also approach by sending pictures via email or facebook, posting nude or degrding pictures of other teens or sending them through cell phones is also another act of cyberbullying. My question to these bullies is why?.. Who will ever know why some people think it's necessary or funny to humiliate or scare others. They are most often motivated by anger, revenge, and or frustration. You can prevent bullying by informing them about the consequences of losing they're ISP or facebook accounts. You should always stand up to bullies and always tell someone if you're being threatened. It's against the law to threaten people over the Internet. The more repeated the communications are, the greater the threats. The more dangerous the methods, the more likely law enforcement or legal process needs to be used. If you share personal information online the situation should be treated even more seriously. Don't be a cyberbully, and don't be a victim.

My New Start

Hi, Sipsey Valley students. I'm Ms. Bubbley and I'm on the newspaper staff. Well, I want to tell all Sipsey students about my new start at Sipsey.
At first, I didn't think I would like Sipsey, but after I got used to it, I realized Sipsey is my chance to have a new start in school, so I've been getting involved more since I've started Sipsey, and it really has helped me with starting to care more about my grades. So, Sipsey has been a great start for me, and I hope it has for ya'll too.

The Sipsey Valley Dedication!

First days of Sipsey Valley High School

My First days of Sipsey Valley High School were very intresting an confusing but not bad at all. When i had got to school I was nervous an lost but found my way easliy and got the hang of it. By the third day of school I was already feeling great about it and new right where to go. The teachers at Sipsey Valley are great and understanding. Im very excited about being at Sipsey and cant wait to see what happens in the future.

Starting A New Tradition

My first days at Sipsey Valley High School have been great. I got all the teachers and classes I wanted. I like the rules the princeple has. They are strict but strict is good because it makes us a better and safer school. I like sipsey because it doesnt have many students and you know just about everybody in your classes. I think Sipsey is going to be a great school.

The Ground Zero Mosque

Hi, and welcome to the Sipsey Insider blog. This will accompany the newspaper, and have a personal spin on it. Now, you've probably heard about the controversial mosque, slated to be built near Ground Zero. 2 blocks away, in fact. Many important politicians and celebrities have spoken out on this hot button topic, mmostly in the negative. For exsample, Sarah Palin states, "Doesn't it stab you in the heart, as it does throughout the heartland?" In my opinion, no, it does not. Muslims are not evil by virtue of their faith, only by interpreting it to mean the extermination of other peoples. Most Muslims do not advocate terrorism, and in fact despise it as much as the rest of us. Who do you think is being killed when we hear about "30 dead from suicide bomber in Pakistan"? In relation to our topic, the Muslims building the mosque near Ground Zero are not the terroristic kind. They are building, not destroying. Why should Muslims be condemned for building a mosque, when Jews could build a synagogue or Christians, a church, in exactly the same place? IN short, not all Muslims are evil, and neither are mosques. I hope you have an excellent day.
